Rouyn-Noranda Regional Airport

The design of this sign focuses on simplicity and elegance. The letters, made of translucent white acrylic, ensure an even diffusion of light, creating a subtle yet impactful effect. This minimalist approach highlights the airport’s name while complementing the refined aesthetics of the facade. The use of copper-painted aluminum extrusions provides a high-end finish and seamless integration with the building’s copper architectural panels. 

White LED lighting was carefully selected for its performance and energy efficiency. It ensures low consumption while delivering optimal brightness, crucial for clear visibility in all lighting conditions. This project required close collaboration between ÉVOQ Architecture and ARTCAD Architectes, who oversaw the design, and Reflecteur, responsible for fabrication and installation. The main challenge lay in achieving perfect alignment of the letters and flawless integration with the existing facade. Thanks to meticulous planning and precise execution, the result meets the highest standards of quality and design. 

In addition to enhancing the airport’s visual identity, this illuminated sign improves wayfinding for visitors. It stands out as a distinctive visual landmark, aiding quick identification of the facility while adding a sophisticated touch to the overall site.
