Temiscamingue RCM
The welcome walls of the Temiscamingue RCM are more than just signage, they are a true invitation to discover this beautiful region of Québec. Designed by the architecture firm Groupe Artcad and built by Reflecteur, these signs mark the entry points into the territory with elegance, blending seamlessly into the surrounding natural landscape. They provide a strong and harmonious visual identity, all while respecting the local environment. These welcome walls, visible both day and night thanks to the use of reflective vinyl, warmly greet visitors and invite them to explore the riches of the Témiscamingue RCM.

welcome walls
Designed to combine aesthetics and territorial identity, the welcome walls of the Témiscamingue RCM express a strong sense of place, in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape. The main structure, made of aluminum tubing, is adorned with CNC-cut aluminum panels featuring modern geometric shapes that evoke the natural elements of the region. The perforations in the panels and the structure’s outlines suggest the MRC’s terrain and vegetation, strengthening the connection between design and nature. Aluminum lettering with reflective vinyl ensures high visibility both during the day and at night.
Two sign formats were created to meet the client’s specific needs: two large and two smaller versions, each adapted to its location while maintaining visual coherence. The large signs, measuring 240” x 96” x 119”, serve as striking landmarks at major entry points, while the smaller signs (120” x 52” x 100”) remain highly visible while being proportionate to their surroundings.
A particularly successful aspect of the project is the integration of landscaping, carried out by Centre Jardin Lac Pelletier. Each sign is accompanied by a thoughtfully designed landscape feature that highlights the strengths of the Témiscamingue RCM. The selected aggregates, chosen for their suitability to the climate and local environment, add a distinct touch that enhances the site’s beauty and reinforces the sense of welcome for visitors entering the region.
The fabrication process required a high level of attention to detail and technical expertise from the Réflecteur team. Materials such as aluminum were chosen for their strength and resistance to the elements, ensuring the signs’ durability over time. Digital printing on vinyl allowed for a precise reproduction of the graphics designed by the architectural firm, guaranteeing accurate color and detail representation throughout the project.
The Témiscamingue RCM welcome walls are an excellent example of how signage can blend function and beauty. These signs do more than indicate a location, they offer a visual experience that reflects the values and natural charm of the region. The goal is clear: to welcome visitors with a strong message while giving them a glimpse of what awaits in this beautiful part of Québec.
