Agora des Arts
As part of the transformation of the Agora des Arts, a unique signage project came to life: the creation of honorary pillars dedicated to the venue’s key financial partners. Designed as architectural markers, these nine pillars symbolize the institution’s gratitude toward the major donors who contributed to the renovation of this creative space. Combining simplicity and elegance, this installation enhances the Agora’s interior while highlighting the vital commitment of its supporters. The project reflects a desire to establish a visible and lasting connection between the cultural institution and those who support its mission.

Donor Pillars
To honor the nine major donors who contributed to the renovation and modernization of the Agora des Arts, a set of commemorative pillars was designed and installed within the venue. The aim of the project was to materialize the institution’s appreciation in a way that was both original and meaningful within the architectural flow of the building.
Each of the nine pillars stands 78 inches tall and is made from glossy white-painted PVC tubes, a material choice that ensures both durability and harmonious integration with the venue’s interior design. Every pillar features dark gray vinyl lettering displaying the name of the corresponding donor. The chosen typography aligns with the existing signage throughout the Agora, creating a visual continuity across the space.
With their minimalist design, the pillars stand out subtly yet purposefully, clearly conveying their symbolic significance. Strategically placed in the upper-level hall near the bar and terrace access, the pillars form a cohesive visual presence that naturally accompanies visitor movement. Their prominent placement ensures both visibility and accessibility, reinforcing the impact of their message of gratitude.
Beyond their commemorative function, the pillars contribute to the overall ambiance of the space. They introduce a vertical, sculptural element that engages in a subtle dialogue with the surrounding architecture. They also represent the Agora des Arts’ commitment to nurturing long-lasting relationships with its patrons by integrating their contributions into the visitor experience. The pillars were designed by Chevalier Morales Architectes and were fabricated and installed by Réflecteur.
This project exemplifies a thoughtful and refined approach to honorary signage, where contemporary aesthetics serve a commemorative purpose. Through their understated yet meaningful presence, the pillars stand as a testament to a living partnership between the arts and the community that supports them.
