Gyva Val D’or

Gyva partnered with Reflecteur for the design and installation of a large-scale pylon sign at the entrance to Val-d’Or. Combining a robust structure with advanced digital technology, this project aimed to provide maximum visibility for the new branch while offering a flexible and modern communication tool. With its striking design, integrated digital screens, and backlit channel letters, the pylon sign goes beyond being a simple landmark, it embodies Gyva’s dynamic presence in Val-d’Or’s urban landscape.

Illuminated Pylon with Digital Signage

The pylon designed for Gyva stands out with its impressive size: 264 inches tall and 112 inches wide, making it a dominant and instantly recognizable structure in the Val-d’Or skyline. From the start, the objective was clear: to create a strong visual anchor at the city’s entrance and draw attention to the new branch.

The structure is built from steel and aluminum, two materials known for their strength, weather resistance, and long-lasting aesthetics. Steel provides structural integrity, while aluminum, used for decorative elements, brings volume, modernity, and energy to the design. Materials and finishes were carefully selected to align with Gyva’s brand identity.

The centerpiece of this project lies in the integration of two high-definition digital screens, each measuring 7’4″ by 4’2″, positioned on either side of the pylon. These displays offer great versatility, allowing Gyva to broadcast promotional content, institutional messages, or real-time updates. With optimized brightness, the screens remain clearly visible in all lighting conditions, day or night, ensuring constant impact on both drivers and pedestrians.

Complementing the screens are backlit channel letters, crafted to match the company’s color palette. These illuminated letters enhance visibility while reinforcing Gyva’s visual identity. The backlighting creates an elegant and subtle glow, helping the sign stand out while maintaining a professional appearance.

Reflecteur managed the entire project, from graphic design to fabrication and on-site installation. Integrating the digital screens posed a significant technical challenge, particularly in terms of wiring and weather resistance, but our team delivered precise, lasting solutions that ensure long-term performance.

This project demonstrates the importance of combining aesthetics, technological innovation, and durability in modern signage. Gyva’s pylon sign is now more than a marker—it has become a key landmark in Val-d’Or and a proud symbol of the company’s regional presence.
