Malartic city

Malartic’s entrance pylons were designed with visibility, modernity, and functionality in mind. Their purpose extends beyond simple wayfinding, they now serve as platforms for broadcasting local news and events in real time, thanks to integrated digital screens. 

Each structure measures 120″ wide by 190″ high, with a depth of 16″, giving it a strong yet refined presence. The vertical silhouette and clean lines follow a contemporary architectural language, contributing to a striking and professional first impression of the city. 

The sign’s fabrication was based on a meticulous selection of durable materials. The pylons are built from aluminum clad in DI-NOC architectural vinyl, a wood-textured finish that elegantly mimics premium materials while offering excellent weather resistance. Translucent vinyl graphics are applied to a white acrylic background, allowing for internal LED illumination. This technology ensures optimal visibility day and night, while keeping energy consumption low. 

The City of Malartic’s logo is seamlessly integrated into the structure, reinforcing visual identity and promoting instant recognition. The attention to aesthetic detail enables the sign to blend into the urban landscape while standing out through its modern appeal. 

The digital screen is undeniably the centerpiece of the pylon. It provides the city with a dynamic communication platform to keep residents informed of events, announcements, or important notices in real time, making the sign both practical and eye-catching. 

The project was delivered turnkey by Reflecteur, which oversaw the graphic design, custom fabrication, and full installation in accordance with safety and durability standards. The result is elegant, effective signage tailored to meet the City of Malartic’s current communication needs.
