Designed to highlight the museum\u2019s new entrance, this innovative signage was envisioned as a work of <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW23951356 BCX8\">art in itself<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW23951356 BCX8\">. Visible from afar, elegant, and functional, it reflects the site\u2019s contemporary spirit while blending harmoniously with the urban environment. This project was developed in close collaboration with <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW23951356 BCX8\">R<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW23951356 BCX8\">e<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW23951356 BCX8\">flecteur<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW23951356 BCX8\">, combining custom design, LED progressive-fade-in-element-1\">Illuminated channel letters <\/h2>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"page-block-text wysiwyg progressive-fade-in-element progressive-fade-in-element-2\"><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The MA Art Museum of Rouyn-Noranda sought to reaffirm its presence within the city\u2019s urban fabric by installing a distinctive illuminated sign on its new entrance, visible both day and night. To achieve this goal, a channel letter sign was developed that combines aesthetics, technology, and functionality. This project posed both creative and technical challenges aimed at creating a strong visual landmark that reflects the museum\u2019s modernity and cultural significance.<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"134233117\":false,\"134233118\":false,\"335559738\":240,\"335559739\":240}'>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The sign\u2019s structure was custom-built to wrap around the building\u2019s corner. A specially designed aluminum frame allowed for seamless integration into the existing architecture. This angular configuration provides optimal visibility from multiple vantage points. The illuminated letters, each 48 inches high, are installed on two building fa\u00e7ades: one reading \u201cMUS\u00c9E\u201d (284\u2033 x 62\u2033) and the other \u201cD\u2019ART\u201d (244\u2033 x 62\u2033). Their impressive size and strategic placement ensure maximum legibility, even from a distance.<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"134233117\":false,\"134233118\":false,\"335559738\":240,\"335559739\":240}'>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The aluminum housings feature clear acrylic faces that reveal dynamic RGB lighting powered by LED modules. This system offers endless possibilities for color and light sequences, allowing the museum to adapt the sign\u2019s appearance to suit exhibitions, seasons, or cultural events. This customizable feature gives the installation an interactive and evolving quality, perfectly aligned with the museum\u2019s vibrant programming.<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"134233117\":false,\"134233118\":false,\"335559738\":240,\"335559739\":240}'>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Beyond visual impact, the project stood out for its attention to detail and durability. The materials were carefully selected for their weather resistance and sleek, elegant finish. Plastic mouldings were used to frame the letters, adding both refinement and strength to the structure.<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"134233117\":false,\"134233118\":false,\"335559738\":240,\"335559739\":240}'>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The sign was installed with great precision to ensure proper stability and balanced illumination. The quality of the lighting enhances the MA\u2019s evening presence and underscores its role as a major cultural hub in Rouyn-Noranda.<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"134233117\":false,\"134233118\":false,\"335559738\":240,\"335559739\":240}'>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This project represents a successful collaboration between the MA Art Museum and Reflecteur, united in their goal to create signage worthy of the museum\u2019s cultural ambitions. More than just a sign, it is a true visual marker, an emblem of the region\u2019s artistic vitality.
